Santiago Nasar

- Leaves the whorehouse �after three�(74)

- Heads to the newlyweds home with his friends and the musicians from the whorehouse to sing a few serenades. �It was he who got the idea, at almost four �o clock, to go up the widower Xius�s hill and sing for the newly weds� (76)

- Left the house with friends, �went along the riverbank with Cristo Bedoya�(78) and then took leave of his friends.

- Arrived at the back door to his house with Cristo Bedoya, who then took leave of him. (78)

- �Told [Victoria Guzman] that he�d have [coffee] later, and he asked her to tell Divina Flor to wake him up at five thirty to bring him a clean change of clothes, just like the ones he had on� (78) Goes to bed for an hour.

Passed Indalecio Pardo who was a great friend of Nasar�yet since Bedoya was with him he lost his nerve and simply gave �each one a pat on the back and let them go their way� (120). Comforted Sara Noriega about his hangover. Declined Celeste Dangond�s invitation to have coffee in his house. Yamil Shaium intended to inform Nasar about the intentions of the Vicario brothers, but instead strips Bedoya from Nasar�s company to consult him on the matter first. (122)


- Entered into the house of Flora Miguel, his fianc�. Warned by her father, Nahir Miguel, that the Vicario brothers were going to kill him. Confused, Santiago left the house for his own house, refusing to stay until the matter was cleared or to take a weapon. Headed towards his house. (131-136)

- Seen by the Vicario brothers just 50 yards from his house, runs at a full sprint to the front door to get in. Unfortunately, the door is bolted shot by accident by his own mother (thinking Nasar was already inside) and he is stabbed repeatedly. His guts spill out onto the ground. (136,138-143)

- Stood up and walked more than a hundred yards through a neighbor�s house all the way to his own house�s kitchen door. Entered through the back door and fell on his face in the kitchen.(142-143)

- Laid in house for several hours. Autopsy preformed. Buried at 7 Tuesday morning.

Steps of the Vicario Brothers

- According to the Twins, they started looking for Nasar at Maria Alejandre Cervante�s place, where they had been with him until two o�clock. (56)

- Went home (time unknown). After Angela was returned and named Nasar, the boys headed to Faustino Santos�s butcher shop to sharpen their knives at three-twenty. (58)

- At four ten, headed over to Don Rogelio de la Flor�s milk shop to wait for Nasar. (61)

- Leaves the milk shop after the Colonel takes away their knives and sends them home to sleep.(65)

- Went home, had argument, grabbed new knives (70)

- Stopped by Prudencia Cotes house for coffee and to wrap the knives in newspaper (71)

- Returned to Clotilde Armenta at the milk ship to wait for Nasar. (72)

- Witness Nasar walking toward his house, head out after him. (137)

- Chase after him, meet him at the door. Slaughter him like they would a pig. (139)

- Ran toward the church after killing Nasar (141)

- Sent to jail for 3 years (90)

- Family leaves town. Pedro goes back into the army, disappears in guerrilla fight. Pablo becomes an �elegant goldsmith�. (96)
