I wish it were so easy. Yet it's not. How many days until a mountain levels to the ground? I have unwillingly begun an experiment to test such a question. Thus far, no results, other than it takes quite a long time. Isn't it interesting how mountains often beget more and more mountains, and they grow exponentially, yet unlike a sigmoid growth curve, in that there is no plateu? They just increase...on and on and on...hmm. I suppose there is a plateu, when all the surface area is used up. Nevertheless, they grow on and on, multiplying and covering the earth with their evil ways. Some become volcanoes, and erupt in a rush of lava that destroys the surrounding vegetation for years, decades, sometimes even centuries. Yet, mountains do eventually crumble and fall, yet these show no signs of collapsing any time soon. Ah well. My chariot awaits. Good night, dear friends, and hold tight to your daily schedule. Should you deviate, just once, your world will crumble around you, and the frogs, insects, and boils of the air shall find thee, and in the darkness, bind your hands. Don't shout or cry, for no one shall hear you. You must bear these trials alone of any mortal companion. Do not fear death, for it shall not come, yet extreme agony awaits thee, and only time can heal your wounds.
